Business Analyst & process manager

to join our team on a permanent contract.

How you will make a difference

Join a dynamic team of eight Business Analysts and Process Managers as we work together to establish ourselves as a future-proof asset manager. In this role, you will focus on enhancing our commercial processes and the supporting systems, playing a vital role in boosting efficiency, effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making within the commercial value stream.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Oversight: Lead the development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of critical systems, including FrontInvest, Selligent, Bloomreach, and our corporate website, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to gather insights and prioritize initiatives, recommending data-driven optimizations to enhance commercial activities and drive business growth.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing mail automation, lead generation, and overall daily commercial operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Supplier Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between suppliers and internal departments, fostering collaboration to effectively resolve challenges and enhance service delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion the continuous improvement of processes and systems that support the commercial value stream, utilizing feedback and performance metrics to drive enhancements.
  • Automation Analysis: Collaborate with business units to analyze existing processes and identify automation opportunities, leveraging the capabilities of applications such as FrontInvest, Selligent, Bloomreach, and our website.
  • Epic and User Story Development: Identify, document, and prioritize clear “epics” and “user stories” to facilitate efficient implementation by developers and data engineers within agile sprints.
  • Change Management Oversight: Manage supplier relationships and oversee the change management process for applications, including the creation of comprehensive test plans and resolution of technical issues or bugs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively engage with a diverse network of stakeholders to ensure effective communication of business requests and needs, fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Risk Management and Process Improvement: Collaborate closely with senior management, end users, and external partners to identify and mitigate operational risks while continuously seeking process improvement opportunities.

Your future colleagues

You will report directly to Head of Data Management, IT and Process and work closely with the Business Analysis and Process team which has a close connection to the Data Competence Centre of Triodos IM. These teams are responsible for optimal support to the business teams regarding data management, digitalization, and process management. We maintain a robust ecosystem of packaged applications, external providers, and self-built systems to empower the Triodos IM co-workers in their daily work.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Combine both business and technical skills to effectively translate complex business challenges into system solutions.
  • Get excited from facilitating workshops with the business, employing design thinking and/or Lean methodologies.
  • Have experience taking responsibility for converting needs, insights, and concepts into concrete requirements, while maintaining a backlog with clear sprint goals—and you’re comfortable saying no when necessary.
  • Enjoy supporting users within the commercial value stream by assisting with software inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and responding to user questions.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to quickly distinguish between essential and ancillary elements in order to grasp processes and IT systems effectively.
  • Exhibit a blend of courage and organizational sensitivity, allowing you to communicate your recommendations and decisions effectively, garner support from others, and ensure transparency in your choices.

Furthermore, it is desirable that you have:

  • A strong affinity with the mission and vision of Triodos Investment Management (TIM).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Application Consultant, or Implementation Lead.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., Finance, Business Administration, IT) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in the investment management sector and/or B2B commerce within financial services.
  • Strong conceptual thinking skills and proficiency in navigating file structures such as XML and CSV, as well as BPMN.
  • Proficiency in data querying languages such as SQL.
  • Knowledge of business improvement methodologies like Lean, Agile, and design thinking.
  • Fluently in English.
  • Residency in the Netherlands.
