As part of this mission, our Impact Private Debt and Equity (IPD&E) department plays a key role in driving positive change through strategic investments in key global sectors.
The Impact Private Debt and Equity (IPD&E) department manages seven Article 9 funds, investing in private debt, equity, and venture capital instruments across the themes of Financial Inclusion, Energy Transition, and Food Transition in emerging markets and Europe.
Within IPD&E, the Credit Expertise Team is responsible for various tasks in the investment process and risk-based monitoring of existing portfolios.

How you will make a difference
The position of Credit Expert covers a range of tasks and responsibilities in the credit investment process. Your focus will be on:
Monitoring of the Global Impact Investment Portfolio
- Ensuring that client reports are obtained in a timely manner.
- Verifying the completeness and correctness of client data.
- Analyzing data on content and trends, assessing the likelihood of adverse performance, and escalating to the investment teams if an increase in risk is determined as per procedure.
- Populating data into aggregated dashboards to enable analysis and oversight of client performance at the portfolio level, in close cooperation with the Special Credits team.
Other Core Activities
- Taking minutes of investment committee meetings.
- Drafting loan agreements, waivers, and other standardized contractual agreements in close coordination with internal legal advisors and the Investment Teams.
- Collecting, checking, and assessing documentation (including Conditions Precedent) and closing files before disbursement of the investment, in close cooperation with internal legal advisors and the investees.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of credit/investment processes by identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation. Actively contributing to improvement projects and the proper implementation of process improvements.
Team Structure
You will be one of four Credit Experts within the Credits Expertise Team and will report to the Head of Credit Management of IPD&E.
Profiel
This is YouYou are strongly aligned with the core values of Triodos and able to translate the mission of Triodos IM into your daily work as an ambassador of the organization.
- Preferred but not required: Two years of experience and knowledge of credit processes, modeling monitoring, legal loan documentation, and investment (process) management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and determine the credit risk of an investee.
- Driven by continuous process improvement, harmonization, and automation; an ambassador for setting the standard.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify obstacles and work independently to develop and propose solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to work interactively with clients (investees) and internal stakeholders.
- A team player with client-facing capabilities.
- Focused on delivering quality; you work accurately and honor commitments.
- Flexible and able to perform under time pressure.
- A bachelor's degree or higher education, preferably in (business) administration, economics, law, or finance.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is considered an additional asset.
- Experience in emerging markets is an advantage.
- Experience in continuous process improvement is a strong advantage.
- Residency in the Netherlands with a valid work permit for the European Union.
